Blog 8: English Language Challenges.
Hi
everyone.
I really
appreciate the effort that the teacher gives to his classes, and I must regret
not having as a student had all the participation that I would like, knowing
the effort that the preparation of the classes implies. This is honestly due to
the difficulty of online classes, as well as the cost of effort and time that
the end of the semester has meant for me in my career. Beyond that, my
appraisals about the course are positive, I think the teacher made good
decisions when using celebrity interviews, fragments of miscellaneous texts
(including literature) and other material for classes in English. The online
mode was what made learning difficult, I believe that this kind of class can
give more of itself in a face-to-face mode, where we can interact much better
and more naturally. Regarding blogs, I think they were very positive for my
learning, because they involved touching on interesting topics regarding our
university experience, it was very fun. On the other hand, I personally need to
improve my oral skills, as it is becoming easier for me to understand a text in
English, but it is very difficult for me to start a conversation, that is my
main flaw.
Outside of
English class, I practice English mainly in reading, because in my career I
often must read texts in English. Secondly, the situation in which I have most
contact with English is when I watch films in English, but lately I have not
seen many films because of the workload at the end of this semester.
